You might not believe us when we say these bagels are made with TWO ingredients-- self-rising flour and plain greek yogurt! This recipe is a tasty twist on a simple homemade bagel recipe, adding sharp cheddar cheese, jalapeño slices and of course, Hanley’s Bacom Bits and jalapeño cream cheese.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
- 1-2 cups Plain Greek Yogurt
- Plain Cream Cheese
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Jalapeño Slices (Remove seeds)
- Hanley’s Bacom Bits
Directions:
- Slice 1 jalapeño and carefully remove the seeds, then set aside
- Mix 2 cups of self-rising flour and 1-2 cups of plain greek yogurt in a bowl until soft and dough-like
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
- Use your hands to roll the dough into ball shapes and poke a hole in the center of each ball to create a bagel shape
- Place each bagel onto the parchment paper then top with jalapeño slices
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes
- While your bagels bake, you can use leftover jalapeño slices and cut them into tiny pieces and mix with plain cream cheese to spread on your bagels once they are finished
- Remove bagels from the oven and top with sharp cheddar cheese and Hanley’s Bacom Bits and return to the oven for 5-10 minutes
