“DESSERTS!!” Want something HOT, FRESH, and DELICIOUS! Keep it simple with these NEW pecan pie bars!
Ingredients
- Crust
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1.5 cups almond flour
- Filling
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups of Hanley’s Nuts, chopped
- ⅔ cup coconut sugar
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ coconut oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8”x8” pan with grease, cooking spray, or parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the almond flour, coconut flour, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan
- Bake for 15-17 minutes until it's golden brown
- Take the crust out and let it cool completely
- In a saucepan, heat the coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla until boiling, stirring constantly for 3-4 minutes.
- Boil mixture for one minute. Don't stir longer than a minute otherwise the sugar will overcook and burn.
- Add Hanley’s Nuts and almond milk, then stir
- Pour the mixture over the crust and bake it for 20-22 minutes
- Take it out and let it cool for 15 minutes. Allow it to cool in the fridge for two hours before eating.
- EAT UP!!! :)
