I'm thrilled to announce that we will be featured on CNBC's Billion Dollar Buyer! The popular reality TV show is hosted by billionaire hospitality mogul Tilman Fertitta, who gives two small businesses an opportunity to impress him and compete for his business in each episode. The winner gets a deal to sell him their product, which Fertitta will test market in some of his 600 restaurants, hotel and entertainment properties, including Landry's Seafood, The Golden Nugget Casino/Hotels, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Joe's Crab Shack, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., and several more.
Tilman and an amazing crew from Hollywood, CA came to our facility at the LSU AgCenter Food Incubator to taste our dressings and see how we make them. Tilman was intense and drilled us on our numbers, which Kate and I knew very well.
He challenged us to do a test with his chefs at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, LA. The chefs were tough, to say the least. We did a test with one of their companies to see what customers thought.
Then, he flew us to his headquarters in Houston to close the deal.
